About Lizzy Schule
Lizzy Schule paints landscapes, portraits, and nudes. Though predominantly an oil painter, she typically sketches in charcoal, graphite, and watercolors before deciding on final compositions for her paintings. Lizzy Schule has her BA in painting and poetry from Bennington College. After graduating, she taught English as a Second Language for several years in Oxford, New York City, and Istanbul. In 2015, she received her MA and MFA in painting and printmaking from the University of Iowa. At Iowa, she instructed undergraduate drawing classes. She now teaches a figure drawing class at Featherstone Center for the Arts, a landscape drawing class at Polly Hill Arboretum, and teen painting classes at Old Sculpin Gallery.
